Back in NoHuevember I borrowed a set of watercolours from my wife. And, after trying them out to see what they look like on the paper (below) I did the chair above.
Though I have painted with water soluble paints at school, this is really the first time I have painted with watercolours, with lots of water. I was so encouraged by this result that I did that day’s huevember picture in the same style. That chair appears again, though its the purple that counts this time.
Since then I have been carrying those watercolours around with me most of the time and even when the huevember challenge was over, I still often find time to do a quick watercolour and ink sketch.
