In March I visited the South West to make FacesOfRebellion portraits, and to join a march with Just Stop Oil. Messages came in while I was on the train asking me to take photos and videos of the march.

The sun came out and the banners and viz vests looked great. And then, anything in the shade wasn’t worth photographing because it wouldn’t look as good as the sunny shots. So I got my sketchbook out and did this sketch with the fude pen and some orange ink I bought especially for the purpose. For a so-called slow march, they move quite quickly when you have to keep running ahead to get an angle to sketch from.
